Re: WRX vs G35 Sedan
Congrats on the new purchase. I was also considering the WRX prior to purchasing the G. Unfortunately after sitting in one at the LA autoshow, I found there just isn't enough legroom. Can anybody compare the handling between the two?

Re: WRX vs G35 Sedan
Depends if the WRX is auto or stick. Its a completely different car. I have a auto WRX(GF's), Audi A4 1.8 5sp(mine) and now a G35 sedan auto. If the WRX is an auto, the big turbo lag mated to the auto is deadly, its a dog off the line unless u brake torque the hell out of it, its not bad from a 5mph roll, but id give the edge to the G35. If its a stick WRX then id give the edge to the WRX from 0-XXX MPH, the WRX with a good driver can launch it it pretty well. but from a roll like 25-xxxmph id give it to the G35. And i think at highway speed id give the edge to the G35 as well.

Beware the SRT4, some are dynoing at the wheel 221HP, 240 foot pounds of Torque, others 237HP to the wheel! 14.1@99MPH quarter mile in stock trim.
All this and Dodge has a kit to bump it to 300 and if they 'understate' again, it will be a monster killer.

Re: WRX vs G35 Sedan
the SRT-4's rolling start (5mph-60) is actually faster than its 0-60 launch. That is quite amazing. Barely any cars can do that, Too bad it'll only do that twice or so before it breaks down. heheh. I've also heard of the dyno's on those SRT's. I wonder why dodge did that? (the understatement of horses.)
I can understant subaru and mistubishi understating their wrx and lancer hp's in japan due to the gentleman's law, but why dodge? Any guesses?

heh, and the other problem is the wrenching torque steer from the front-wheel drive SRT-4. Also, once dealers are done w/markups, the pricing will be very high, maybe even 5-6 grand more. For me, the WRX was an easy choice. I just installed leather on it, and it looks awesome.

Re: WRX vs G35 Sedan
Leather is not a factory option i dont think... it is a dealer option as for lag compared to an S4, Im an Audi person my self and there is a bit more lag on the WRX compared to the S4. The S4 same with the A4's use a relatively small K03 turbos. Boost comes on at around 1500-1800 RPM for the a4/s4 where as it starts to come on a bit later for the wrx. The Wrx come alive at around 2500-3k. Thats why when i test drove one it felt slow since i didnt really get on it. But when my GF got one and got on it a lil bit it felt pretty good, well as good as a auto WRX can get. Boost on the S4/A4 is more linear where as on teh WRX its more of a rush when it kicks in.

Re: WRX vs G35 Sedan
yah, I havent taken pics of the leather seats on my WRX, it's not a factory installed option, I went to an aftermarket place. Anyways, the turbo comes alive around 3000 rpm and higher, but once the turbo kicks in, the WRX is an animal!! I havent done any mods yet, but from what I've heard: its relatively cheap and easy to bring hp output to around 280-300. You guys also forgot the handling aspect, the car has such a positive feel when ur goin thru curves..
