Do you recommend the same setup for a RWD Sedan? I was thinking more along the lines of 225/40 and 255/35 for my sedan...

Staggered is better for RWD but I would go as wide as you can for the 8" and 8.5" rims.

A 245/35 and 255/35 combo would be good. 225 for the front will have a decent stretch. Some like that look so it depends on what you want.

I like a more squared shoulder look on the tires. So I think maybe you're right on the 245 and 255.

So what would be the major differences between a 05 g35x midpipe and any of the other years/models?

I'm not sure on that one. I know the coupe mid-pipe is a popular mod.

Yeah I can see it on the 03-04 sedans, but how much different is the 05-06. That is what I am looking for.

While we're on the subject of midpipes:

I understand that the 05-06 sedan midpipe will bolt right up on an 03-04 sedan, and the coupe midpipe requires some modification. What modifications are necessary, what year coupe pipes will fit, and--other than sound--are there really any gains with either ? How about against each other, does one pipe have a larger gain than the other?

i have ann 05 with the coupe mid pipe, it fit perfectly fine. as far as performance, i didnt feel a thing. as far as sound, barely a difference. IMO skip the coupe mid and go for a catback. im look for a cat back now to replace it, but finding one on here can be very very tough.

I'm patiently (ok, so maybe not) awaiting the release of the Motordyne sedan catback. I figure, why buy exhaust twice, instead of just waiting and doing it right the first time?

The current XYZ pipe fits the sedan, but the midpipes and back do not.

245 40 19's give me the EXACT rolling diameter as my stock Sport 18" tires did.

I wasn't trying to say they were taller than the oem size. I was saying IMO the sidewall is too tall looking.

I have 245/40's on mine for that reason. I would still go a little smaller for a better look.

I just found out today that this isn't true. The 350evo rear bar will not fit a RWD sedan. It is straight as opposed to the bends necessary to go around the muffler.

Oh, thank you. I didn't know that. Seems like it would still need to clear the Z's exhaust too. Either way, I'll update the thread.
