Awesome!
Like everyone has mentioned this thread is AWESOME!!!
EVERY forum needs a sticky like this...

People have tried to (other forums) but keep it to like "wheels" or "suspension" and then after a while is gets diluted with replies. So everyone is lost.

I love that you have sections reserved, and keep ALL the information on top and UPDATED (the key)....

GREAT WORK!!!

Thank you

This should help out a lot of people. I have spent sooooo much time on here and working on my car over the last two years it feels good to download what I know.

Maybe over time I'll write up some more detailed FAQ and DIY stuff for custom mods I've done. The problem is I don't have a lot of pictures so it ends up being 5,000 words!

maybe add to the FAQ about that mysterious spring/crunching sound at 7MPH after starting your car, (the ABS self test sound), if noone has said anything or it hasnt been added yet.

Ohh I forgot about camber kits! I'm shocked no one caught that before I did.

Sway bars?
Maybe add if 2wd sway bars will fit on the x?
Also, can you take apart the headlights? I heard that they are vacuumed and it will mess them up.

lots of people have taken the headlights apart and I haven't heard of problems yet... I hope there are no probs because mine are being taken apart and painted this week... tail lights on the other hand can not be taken apart (no has that I know of)... whether or not they can be wired a certain way is yet to be determined (ehheemmm - Tim )

got a couple other FAQs... why does the front end of my car make creeking noises at low speeds going over driveways/speed bumps etc.?

A. Check the compression rods which are known to go bad and can be replaced under warranty from dealer.

Q. Why does my rear windows make a popping/ticking noise over bumps and on accleration when they are rolled all the way up?

A. Because the window regulator bolts are too long and should be replaced with the shorter ones specified in the TSB ITB05-034. Can be replaced under warranty as well.

Will they? I didn't think so (not the fronts at least).

I already say you can open them up and paint them so I think this is covered.

The fronts wont fit on a awd, but it pretty thick bar itself. The rears are all the same so no problems there.

Also the awd might be getting coilovers hopefully soon. I will let you know that when it happens so you can edit it.

Also I might add. Staggered on awd is not recommended, but there are a few that have been running without the fuse pulled and not have had any problems.

I had this in there before. Should I change it?

(*Caution - it is not good for the AWD system in the X model sedan to run staggered wheels unless you remove the AWD fuse)
