I don't have any mobil speed pass, etc. My car started up fine after sitting for a week in the cold. Could have been bad gas maybe since I filled up before I parked it for the week. Since I got the gas I havn't had the problem.

 

got same exact problem in my 03 coupe.. battery and alt. have been checked and are strong.... I just happen to have found and won a new starter on ebay for 25 bucks shipped... Now just have to get it up in air and changed

 

dang, is it just the 04s. Mine just died too! Hopefully its something electrical or the starter but scared the **** outta me.

Mine might be worse....did u guys have smoke? I was actually drivin and all of sudden i smelled burnt plastic and lil smoke and car stopped and died....

what are the signs if the it's something w/ the engine??

 

its weird cuz if i jump my car off it starts fine.... well cant get to the starter today to see if thats really the problem

 

yeah, they should apply that to the repair should you get the work done

 

If it starts fine on a jump, then why do you suspect the starter? Do you have any aftermarket electronics in your car? Ex. Headunit, navi, soundsystem, Alarm, etc. If so, then they might be drawing too much power when your car is off.
