Interior Lightening?

I have a 04 g35x and I was wondering if anyone else has the samething. When I open or unlock the car door, why is there no lights that come on in the inside? All that comes on is the floor lights near the door, but thats not bright. I thought there are lights near the mirror or something that comes on. In my other car it came on. These cars dont have little lights that come on so you can see. There is some sort of auto lightening that should come on when the door is opened.

You should be able to move the switch by each of your map lights over to make them come on with the door. On m 04' rwd I can make the front map lights and each rear one come on.

do you think its too bright for them to always come on when door is open? Im so used to it being dark and the lights not come on. How do I switch the rear ones to come on? The same switch up front top.

You can turn on each rear one with the switch on it (in the back headliner). I have all mine come on and I have led's in each one. It's bright but I like being able to see in the car.

Blown, you have had the G for over a year and you just now wondered about your interior lights I'm shocked and amazed. Hopefully your issues is just the switches. If not, then check your fuses.

Ya its pretty sad someone mentioned it, i never really cared. I found the switch, but I tried them with it on. It is very bright not used to it, but then i just switched it back off like it was before.

Do you know a thread or write up on removing the map light covers, I just bought my G last week and don't wanna screw anything up, but I have VLEDs for them and can't find any place obvious to unscrew or pop them out.

Thank you

I searched best I could..

Dave

EDIT: Yes, holy thread resurrection...
