Front End Noise???

I have a 2005 G35 sedan. Just replaced both front upper control arms with adjustable arms from STILLEN! I am hearing a clunk type noise at parking lot speeds, and a squeak over speed bumps... Noise appeared a week after I installed my control arms ( not too concerned with the squeaks just the CLUNK)...I got the car aligned with no issues, It drives better than ever, but this noise is pissing me off.. OH, the car has stock suspension.

ANY INPUT WILL BE HELPFUL

thanks

Hmm, maybe something came loose in there. I had a nasty clunk noise when my steering spindle was loose.

the front compression rods are known to go bad it possibly could be that. They make a creeky popping noise when going over speed bumps at low speeds. The dealer will replace them for free under warranty. The compression rods could be a coincidence but it sounds more like something isnt right with your control arms you installed, i would have that checked out.

I would double check that all the bolts are tight, if they are it is probally the compression rods

update

Thanks for the input, I will check my compression rods today... The dealer yesterday was blaming my control arms for the noise! I will double check my work! This morning, I started the car ( not moving), I moved the steering wheel from left to right and the clunk/popping noise was there..

where u located? that just recently happened to me too. It happened when i put it into reverse in the parking lot and everytime i went over a speed bump at low speeds or small potholes i'd hear it too. even when turning the wheel.

But i jacked it up, tried to tighten some bolts and saw that the rubber seal around the battery came off, so i put that back on, but just didn't know what the problem was. After that, i lowered it, took it out, and never had a problem after that. hmp, go fig.

what does the compression rods fall under when pertaining to warranty? is it part of the drivetrain?
