Might as well reply to this long-a$$ post. I'm 28, a dentist, and have a family. Would have loved the Coupe 6-MT, but just not practical. Got tired of putting Jr. in the backseat of my M3.

I'm 22. I (will) have a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering in May, and have already accepted an offer as a microelectronics development engineer at a Fortune 50 company.

As for where the money comes from, its my own. I've worked temporary summer jobs between semesters for the same company for the past four years in various divisions, and am telecommuting out of my apartment currently for them as well until I can join full-time. Scholarships also help keep school costs low, and my salary + stock + other things as of June when I start will be very respectible.

Does that answer your question? I know I don't currently have the car, but will inside of a month hopefully. I'm guessing a 2005 Sedan in Diamond Graphite & Graphite Interior + Premium Package + Splashguards shouldn't be too hard to find.

While the thread drifts a little bit, what do you folks think a good price in that configuration is? $32,500? Lower? Higher? That's what I've been quoted so far and the sales consultant working with me says we can probably take a little more off that. I'm waiting for a phone call from him presently.

Good Day,
~ Mike

I ordered my sedan and got it two months before turning 40. The best part for me in purchasing it? Paying cash for it! Damn that felt good. No haggling, no BS. Tustin Infiniti hooked me up good. Punched in Stillen in the nav drove straight there and bought an intake and cat back exhaust. Nice ride home up highway 1 to the SF Bay area too. Lots of mods since then and more to come. That's just one advantage to be one of the "older" guys. $$$. Never could have afforded it in my teens or twenties. God I love this car!

I'm 26 years old. I leased my last car (Acura TL-S) but was 17,000 miles over my lease limits. I decided never to lease again, so I bought the G35x and haven't looked back. 3 years ago when I started at my job as a Loan Officer, I made myself save every single extra penny I made for this car. What a nice feeling to buy something all by yourself. Next up, a house!

As much as younger guys will try and convince you otherwise, most anyone driving one of these cars at the age of 16-19 probably had their parents/grandparent buy the car or help them buy the car. I just don't see how someone that young can afford a $24-34K car at 16-19 without some type of monetary help from another source. I guess it's possible that a 16-19 year old is paying for the car, but chances are their other expenses are covered by another source.

Yeah, a lot of young guys seem defensive about paying for this car all by themselves. I would have been thrilled to get this car as a younger guy (I'm still young, right?) even if mom and pop threw down some cash. If you're family is generous, just be thankful!
Cheers,
Noah

I'm 22 turning 23 in a few months.

When I went to get my car, I asked my parents to drive me to drive me to the dealer, since my car was just in accident. So while I was getting the paperwork signed, my dad was standing outside looking at the car I was buying.

Another man, maybe in his 40's walked up to my dad and said, "This car fits us perfectly right?" And my dad answered, "Oh but my son is buying this car." So the other man said, "But I think we look better in this car than him."

I dont even know what to say about that.

Gotta be nice...when I was 19, I was driving an 82 Cutlass Supreme...then, when I turned 22 I bought my 87 Mustang GT and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread...even thought it was 7 years old...
