Nice job. The sedan seats should have been like this in the first place, or at least in the 6MT.

All sedans!

I have no idea why they chose to put those flat seats in the sedan. They suck...

Tim, did you have to customize the mounting points, or did you just switch out the whole rail?

Rails are the same. They bolt right in but as Hybrid said above the seats sit lower. It's not a problem for the driver because that part's power but you should raise the pass side up a bit. You can use washers or something like that to move it up a bit but if you want to go way up you will need longer bolts.

For the spacers I actually used a 3/8" diameter metal coupling from the plumbing section in Home Depot. It set the back about right at an inch. I used 60mm long bolts (m10x1.25) and in the front I used hard plastic spacers that measure just shy of 1/2". I used 40mm long bolts in the front (m10x1.25). I also used a 3/8" washer on the bolt head.

Tim, I did get coupe headrests, but I think the sedan ones fit better and are positioned forward slightly more.

The seats make u feel like you are in a completely different car. Kind of weird.

I know what you mean. It's amazing how much better they are!

Did you get the bolts at home depot too? I might do that this weekend to raise mine up a little more.

Congrats again! I know you are loving it!

They probably got them from a coupe owner, but I would try a salvage yard.

Actually the heater worked, I guess I was too tired and irritated that night to realize that. Did you have to remove the harness plug from you sedan seat and put it on the coupe seat? It was a 4 wire plug. That controls heat and power. You may want to double check the connections.

I responded to your pm as well, but the color wires match up for the most part. What part of the seat doesn't work?

What grade a bolt did you use? I would want to make sure it was equal to or better than the OEM grade for safety, or just go with something I knew was strong, like a Grade 8. I might be concerned about the crush strength of the front plastic spacers too.

Thanks for continuing to post the details, I keep coming back here for more good info!
