Coupe seats installed in a sedan

Please tell me if you had to do any rewiring and what exactly did you do. I have some coupe seats, but the heat/power control plugs were different, so we took the plug off the sedan seat and re connected it on the coupe seat. The coupe seat plug had 8 wires compared to the 4 on the sedan. We can get the power recline to work on both seats along with the up and down adjustments on the driver side. The power control for forward and backward doesn't work.

I have 04 coupe seats in my 03 sedan. When I installed mine the driver side seat had the same plug as the coupe seat, direct plug in. the passanger side was the one I rewired. Ill look at it for you to see what i did cant recall right now.

Off the top of my head I know that THX723 and ttrank have coupe seats in their sedans. You may one to send a PM to one of those guys.

go for it, love my seats. Coupe seats keep you in the seat you dont slide out like in sedan seats. i also gained heated seat option I didnt have before.

well as of now the seats are in, got a flashing air bag light and the heater isn't working on the passenger side. guess i will recheck the wiring tomorrow. i had to completely rewire the switches from the sedan seats into the wiring harness for the coupe and bypass the control module to make the forward and backward function work. i hope the wiring has just come loose on the passenger side and that will fix my flashing airbag and no heater.

just finished the diagnostic mode for the SRS light, no malfunctions and the reset work. We turned the ignition on at one point in time while the airbags was unplugged so I'm sure that caused the problem. now I just need to recheck the wiring for the heater, I'm sure it came loose as it did once before during the rewire episode.

I can't remember what I did to wire mine in for power. I seem to remember that there were a couple power wires that needed spliced together. The heaters and airbags were a direct plug in.

Got it all figured out.....

Had to do some rewiring because the coupe seat has a control module in the seat and the sedans control module is somewhere else. So we had to rewire harness plugs from the sedan onto the coupe seat for heater/power. The airbag and seatbelt plug was the same. Had to rewire the controls from the sedan seat over onto the coupe seat because we couldn't get the forward/backward switch to work, the up/down adjustments and recline worked fine. We also had to bypass the control module for the forward/backward motor and tap straight into the wiring harness for the controls. Then everything worked like it was suppose to. The seats set lower and the passenger seat sets much lower. I just installed spacers today to raise the back up about a inch and the front 1/2 inch. Sets perfect now and wifey approved, because she couldn't see over the windshield wiper arm. The seats are very supportive as you can see from the bolsters in the pics. Enjoy and it was worth the time and effort.

Didn't you get the coupe headrests with them?
