GSedan35 - Thanks for the pics and info, that drop is exactly what I'm going for! If the fronts are higher than the rears, it's not noticible to me. Thanks again.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

here, to help you out, i have some pix of my gaps in the front and rear.
http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288957763&idx=6
thats the rear
http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288957763&idx=4
this is the front

keep in mind though, that this is right when i got it dropped. the rear has since lowered a bit more. perhaps becuase i have a sub in the back...single sub only though...but then again, i also have the stillen dual, so i save some weight at the same time.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Thanks for the pics, a bit more noticable than Gsedan35 but nowhere near the difference of the Maxima. I should have mine on in 1-2 weeks!

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Hey_ya, can you please ask the seller to look at the builders plate on their Z and tell you the build date of the car?

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

I've sent a message asking about it, I'll post when I find out. Do you think the suspension changed after a certain date?

BTW - My install won't be until March 17-18...

Gsedan35:

Boo - Sept. 2003, that's about what the Build Date was on my Z and I found it somewhat bumpy, but I liked the ride. I haven't ridden in a newer 04 z, only other 03s...

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Word is that the any 04 Z built prior to November 30, 2003 does NOT have the updated "euro" suspension. All roadsters are reported to have the new suspension from day one.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Does the "update" just mean softer/more forgiving ride? Or are there additional benefits to the newer setup?

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

In theory, that's the idea.

From my350z.com:

"They changed the spring rates, lowered the initial compression on the shocks, increased the rebound on the shocks and changed the bumpstops to increase the length of travel slightly. It was posted months ago, so do a search to verify my recollection."

Thing is, did they give up performance to kill the bounce?
That is the question.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Well I'll assume that's the case (to make myself feel better). The buyer told me he never experienced the "bounce" when he had the stock setup. But I did notice some bounce on my 04 with a similar build date. I'll post how it feels when I get mine installed. I'm also still looking to buy the new setup.

Thanks.

If anyone is interested ZRAYGO at my350z.com is selling his stock 03 setup for around $200 (that may be negotiable). Please note this is a 2003 setup (I told him I 'd mention it to you guys).

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Which '04 suspension is most desirable? Touring, Track? Are they much different, or is it mostly sway bars? Sorry if this has been covered before.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Do not buy a 03 350Z suspension at any cost. I have the 03 Z suspension, you'll get bounce all the time, try and go down some less traveled city street's and the ride is like a bull ride at the rodeo,......yee haw (grin). Yes, performance wise, it's superior to the oem sport suspension, but jezz, unless your on brand new pavement, man the bounce sucks when it happens. If your after what the Z suspension can do for the sedan, either do what it takes to get a 04 setup from either a 04 roadster or any 350Z built after 11/30. Or get Z springs on the cheap and get Koni shocks, ($700 range) or show up at the Nissan parts counter and get genuine 04 350Z shocks @$350.
