The price direct from the parts counter - is that $350 per or $350 for the whole set?

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

All 350Z's ride on the same suspension, same spring rates, same shock valving. Concerning sway bars, all G35's and all 350Z's use the same exact sway bars, don't every buy oem 350Z sway bars, their the same parts that are on your car now. What is different are 04 350Z roadsters and 04 350Z's built after 11/30/03. They have a euro spec suspension, said to give better ride quality. Hey_Ya has the 04 euro spec 350Z suspension on his sedan.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

Ok, I am getting different opinions every day on this set up of springs. Now, what I am looking for is something with a drop and ALOT stiffer than the stock sport suspension on the sport sedan. When people say bounce, i thought bounce was at higher speeds or over bumps your car or springs would actually make the body bounce up and down a little bit but I also see some people saying bounce is hosw rough the ride is. I want a drop for my 19 inch rims but not too low and a stiff, sporty ride!! Any suggestions? Thanks, Martin

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

When your lucky enough to have a good smooth road under the car, the 2003 350Z suspension I have on my sedan doesn't have any issues. BUT!, when the road isn't so smooth, it can bounce. Encounter several large undulations or larger bumps in a series, oh gawd the bounce is horrible. Only reason I put up with it is because I got the suspension for dirt cheap and it's superior to the oem sport suspension in the area's I wanted to be bettered. But, I would wish the bounce on no one. Even on the freeway, it can bounce. Yes it can be harsh, that I can deal with, and like I said on smooth roads (which never last) it's fine. Only buy a 03 350Z suspension if, 1. you can get it for what I paid, $150 shipped and IF you can walk away from that expence and turn around and get something else without that bothering you too much. One detail to add, when the bouce get's bad, you cannot use the head rest, it's uncomfortable to do so because of the bounce.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

To add to the confusion:

GSedan35 - Just to clarify, I don't think I have the new setup. I think the build date of my setup was 9/03, per my seller.

I owned a 2004 Z with a 9/03 build date and did experience the dreaded bounce, so I know what it feels like.

*BUT - when I installed the Z setup on my G, I cannot feel the bounce. Yes, it is much stiffer, but I've driven down some of the "problem roads" for the Z to try to reproduce the bounce in the G, and it hasn't happened. So now I can't tell if it's there but less noticible (maybe due to the car being heavier) or if it's completely gone. I am almost convinced it's the latter.

There is another guy who I think has the 04 - "Altihaulic" on my350z.com, not sure of his name on here...maybe he can help.

Re: **2004** Z Suspension

My ride and drive experience is identical to what owner's of 350Z's report on when they complain about bounce, what they've been saying for a long time could have been penned by me, the longer wheelbase doesn't insolate me at all. If I know I'll have someone else in my car with me and the road I'll take isn't billard table smooth, I'll take the van instead and to not watch them bouncing around. If it was just a plain stiff suspension behavior that was firm, I could deal with it, really I could, but it's just like their isn't enough rebound dampning.

Yeah, I definitely know the bounce. I am just puzzled why I don't feel in in my G. Either way, I will probably upgrade within a year or so.

I actually liked the bobble head effect when I had people in the Z. I learned to compensate for it by just making myself bounce up and down in my seat to cancel out the effect. Those poor souls.
