Re: Engine Burn In?? (First Time Poster)
My dealer basically said don't worry about the break-in and just drive it. I chose to (mostly) follow the manual. As long as you don't hot-rod it and don't use the cruise control, you're good. You can use the manual mode if you want, just be careful not to redline it.
Of course, there's also the other theory.. that an engine run at high rpms during the breakin period will have a slight performance edge over an engine grannied during breakin. I'm not ready to test that theory on my car, but I suppose it's another reason not to worry about it too much.

...or slam it into a curb...
Sorry, dude. You keep setting yourself up for that one.![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I plan on keeping my 5-7 years, so I'm concerned about it lasting beyond the factory warranty. Plus, coming from a 92 Accord, the break-in rules provided much more spirited driving that I was used to, so I managed okay.

Re: Engine Burn In?? (First Time Poster)
Do what they said... dont work it in till 1200 miles once that is hit make sure you disconnect the battery for 12 hours so that you can reset the computer in the car this will erase the "easy driving" setting that ur chip is used to and start formatting ur engine to the new "faster driving" that ur gunna be doing now that its all broken in
