NAV problems??

Once I start I can't stop

I've been having a few problems with my NAV and wasn't too sure if this was happening to others with the NAV system.

It seems if I'm driving and decide to pop the NAV up the system says Please Wait... and it sits there forever. I have to pull the CD out and put it back in if I want to get updated information, however, if I pop the system up when I first start the car or am sitting still it works fine.

Does anyone else have this problem or can help me figure out a solution??

Thanks.

Re: NAV problems??

Nope. Take it back to the dealer ASAP.
However sometimes, it takes about 5-10 sec to gather satellite info, which requires you to drive the car.
For example, driving out the garage...

In tunnels. Downtown areas with lots of high buildings. Mountainous areas. Anything that obstructs the view of the sky. The satellite services have ground repeaters in trouble spots, I believe.

No issues like that dude. Longest it take to kick in like 3 seconds.
Are you near tall buidings downtown or what? Sig can be blocked like in a tunnel, or your garage.
Do a diagnostic on it. search for procedure. G/L

Re: NAV problems??

I appreciate the info. Yea its weird, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I'm in a clear area so it should receive a signal.

If I am driving and try the NAV no luck. I will have to take it to the dealer during my 1000 mile checkup and have them look into it.
