My G got owned T.T

Well I was driving through woodstock, ny for work purposes. Was on a backroad since thats all that there is around there. The ground was not plowed (how not surprising) as I left a corner bend the car slid a little with the vdc going all berzerk. I was going fairly slow (around 20mph) as I was regaining control a dump truck comes along blazing and slams his brakes and knocks into me >.>.

Took the pics with my cell so its bad quality. Sad thing is my nismo kit arrives next week T.T Btw can anyone give an estimate of how long all of this on avg would take to fix.

ouchh. glad you are ok though. I would say at LEAST a week or 2 to fix. there is a lot of damage throughout the car. Not in one spot you know. But congrats on the Nismo kit. Will look sick once everything gets situated. You could get the kit painted from the insurance company like lights out said though. Goodluck

Ouch! Thankfully the truck did not hit you any harder and cause any serious bodily injuries to you.

I agree with Jonathan above ^^, I'd say about 10-14 days for the entire thing. Make sure you take it to an Infiniti body shop, or one that they recommend, with OEM parts. Good luck.

How do I go about doing that. I am a noob about all this stuff, I have never had an accident where I was driving in all my years. My adjuster is suppose to call me tomorrow and they brought up something about certified repair shops or the other. If I had wanted to bring to a place that infiniti recommends how would i go about doing that. I have esurance if anyone has happened to have dealt with them before on accidents.

here is what i would do since you're getting the nismo kit. have the shop include the cost to buy new bumper and paint/install it on the estimate to insurance. Ask the bodyshop to paint your sideskirts and rear bumper plastic instead, unless your mean nismo kit but the whole kit meaning all four pieces. (then you wont need the parts painted). In that case, ask the bodyshop to discount off of your deductible.

My kit is the full 4 piece kit and with the current accident I had today, I feel kinda scared of putting on the kit prior to the end of winter. I wont be in such a lame winter place by summer time ><.

I'm not sure if this is the same in all states, but here in AZ you have a right to have your car repaired at whatever body shop you choose. The insurance company does not have a say in your final decision. They might recommend shops for you to take your G to, but most likely they already have some kinda deal worked out with these shops (use aftermarket parts instead of OEM). You should call your Infiniti dealership and see if they have a body shop, or if they don't who do they recommend. Make sure this body shop uses ONLY Genuine Infiniti parts. Take your G to that shop and get a written estimate. Then, when you talk to your insurance company, tell them that you will be taking your G to whatever body shop you decided upon. If they try to say you can only take it to the body shop they picked, I would definately check into that. Have someone help you out.

I know exactly how you feel from the wreck since I used to have my share of winter driving up north. Unless you have snow tires, RWD vehicles have practically no chance on the roads vs. FWD & AWD cars. Sorry to see the damages you sustained from the accident but glad to see you posting and in good health (hopefully).

I think the next question is who's going to pay for the damages on your car, your insurance or the truck driver's insurance? I'm sure it'll be easier to let the insurance companies fight it out until a final decision is made.
