Just purchased 04 G35X

So I traded in my 04 RX-8 for an Ivory pearl G on Monday. I have to say I love the new car. Luxurious and powerful. I miss the 8, but that goes away once I get behind the wheel of the new car. Just wanted to introduce myself.

Heres the new car. Bone stock, but when the mod bug hits i'll take some proper shots.

Heres my old car, I know most will probably hate it. I'm a general car enthusiast, not a loyalist (maybe the infiniti will change my mind on that).

Congrats. I have the same car. Your RX 8 looks bitchin! What are you going to do to bring up your Gs appearance?

Congrats on the new ride welcome to the family. My first car was a 82 rx7 and I still miss that little thing, it was really fun to drive.

Congrats on the new G.

Although the photo is small, your 8 looks great. **reaches for magnifying glass**

Welcome. I always liked the mazda RX-8 and would've considered one if I didn't need room for a couple car seats.... So why did you decide to go from the 8 to the G? Just curious.

I think you will find that most of us on driver are just car enthusiasts also. I don't know much about the mazda's but I think that looks great!

Welcome to the board!

Nice choice on color! IP FTW

If you want an inspiration, definitely look up G35PAPA. he has an ivory pearl sedan just like yours but with a few upgrades

Welcome aboard man! Nice RX-8....nicely done. Just think, you won't have to (or shouldn't have to) dump quarts of oil in your G to keep the oil levels up like you probably had to do in your Mazda.

Have fun looking for mods & rims!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I wasn't sure how most would re-act to the mazda. Honestly it was a great car. All the bad things you read about them never happened to me. Hardly ever had to add oil, never flooded, and it was reliable. The thing I hated about it was that every kid wanted to race. I'm 27, but look more like 19-21. I got pulled over constantly, harassed constantly and it got old fast, but the main thing that made me get the G was that I wanted AWD. This past winter was terrible up here in NY, and I actually know 4 people that passed away this winter (including a person in my family about 1 month ago) in weather related car accidents. Really made me take a close look at what I was driving, and the 8 is definately not practical during the winter.

I'm glad that you guys seem opened minded, as the 8 forum could get a bit to fanitcal at times. As far as mods on the car, I will probably keep it simple. Rims (might just try to get stock 19's), intake, and exhaust. I really like the kenstyle kit for the G too, so that is something I need to research a bit more. As far as the 8 pic being small here is a big one. You asked for it.
