Wuz up to all the O gee's . I have been a reader for some time now but never became a member. Maybe someone can clarify for me about the clear corners from the clearcorners website . They advertise clear front side marker "Conversion" for 150.00. First off what r they converting ? Then they said u can have a single high intensity LED "Add On" for 75.00 ? I guess the main thing i want to know is which way to go for the clear corners because Japan parts has them for 49.95 for just the clear corners and no LED .

Dont know if I wanna put so much money into the corners though, since I heard they rip easily, right off your car!

The problem is that they can be taken out very easily.. But if you wanna think that way then somone could kick your G and dent it, causing your money to go down the drain to fix it.. i konw it might be far fetched.. but thats how i like to think of it cuz i have those clearcorners from clearcorners.com.. haha

anyways.. the japparts one is just the amber side marker in clear... same thing with the one from clearcorners.com.. I havent seen both physically so I think they are pretty much the same..

the LEDs look really cool at night becuase it lights up the whole clearcorner.. besides that I think its the same thing..

are white sides actually illegal?
i know the amber sides are reflective at night for safety

I believe they're legal as long as they illuminate amber (so you'd want to keep the amber bulb, instead of getting a clear bulb). I'm not 100% sure on whether they have to reflect amber, or if reflecting white is okay.

They can be any color (smoke, purple, lime-green) physically, as long as the illuminated and reflective colors are correct.

are the original orange corners on our car easy to take off as well (meaning same way taken off and put on as the clears?)

 

The 330CI's have clear side markers (and those are stock w/ the sports package). so if clears are okay on bmw's I assume they would be alright for the G's.

 

G35Lakers: The clearcorners are as easy to take off as any other ones that fit on the G.. it has to do with the way it fits into the G by design, not the actual design of the side marker. )

Yes, but if you look at the 330i's front headlamp, it wraps around the side of the car and has an amber reflective section. So they've split the duty between illumination and reflection into two sections. G35's only have the one sidemarker that illuminates and reflects.
