Hi Guys, I have a 03 G35 sedan that recently developed a Clunk/Rattling noise when going over bumps, it's sounds worse at lower speeds. It sounds like a bag of golf ***** are rattling around the suspension area. Any ideas what it might be?

 

I got the same problem.Seems to be stronger on slightly uneven pavement and does not get any louder or disappears at big bumps. I checked all links/tie rod ends/strut rod bolt-all seems to be tight. Steering is OK, handling is fine.
Are you stock?
I suspect it's either strut or just spring coil insulators wore out.

Any other ideas/experiences?

 

Yeah, I'm pure stock. I haven't looked at the suspension parts yet but steering and handling is fine, well handling is not really that great with the winter tires

 

Strong suspicion: Compression Rod bushings.

Do a broad search on the forum here, incl the Suspension subforum, and you'll find a gazillion threads!

i got this same problem on driver front and a squeak on passenger rear.....compression rod problem? guess il search that
