trunk release button retrofit?

That is my trunk, and I even have the glove box switch to disable.

I'll see if I can get it installed, especially if it is just splicing a wire.
Gonna pop the empty cap off tonight, and see what's in there.

Early 03 g35 trunk switch retro fitted
Since this is in the sedan section, I'm not sure this applies to the coupe
03.0 sedans did not come with a trunk release switch/button on the interior. They did not become available till the 03.5 model. You should be able to buy the switch/button from your dealer (or PM Tony@riversideinfiniti)
I retro fitted my 03.0 sedan with one as well as an extra DC outlet.

Early 03 G35 trunk switch retro fit
hey did you ever figure out how to do this, I’m trying to do the same thing. Switch to the 04 trunk without the switch in the handle and put a trunk switch by the dimmer n vdc switch. Please let me know

Ok I just checked the FSM, on the existing glove box trunk disable switch intercept/C-tap the PINK wire, run it to one side of your new trunk release switch, take the other side of the switch and run it to any chassis ground point.
When the BCM sees ground on that circuit it actuates the trunk lock mechanism.
Don't intercept the BLUE wire on the existing trunk disable button or it will no longer disable the trunk release for the new button.
