Ok its the compass on the dash, no matter what direction im going it either shows Northeast or northwest, drove around all day today and that all that it will go to, south never shows up. Does it need calibration or what?

 

Sounds like it. Find a nice open spot in a parking lot. You'll have to press the button on the compass and then drive slowly in a circle until it's happy. You might want to double-check the owner's manual before doing this.. I can't remember how long to hold the button in, or if you have to press it more than once.

You must set your zone first----2-7
Then just use the correction procedure on 2-8.
NOTE!-- Make sure you don't exceed 3 MPH (5 KPH) or it won't 'take'.

I believe you have to hold the button for ten seconds, then drive around slowly (> 5MPH) for a while. It will "find itself" after some time.

My compass actually did something similar, it was not getting any reading. I was driving around at a normal pace for a while. I looked at my compass and it was again reading the direction.
