I told them to pack sand and I'll fix it myself. Do you know where I can get the part?

You can get it from your dealer. Mine had to order the part. The part is no more than $20. If the dealer charges more they are ripping you off.

Do you have a mechanic that is reasonable and you trust? They can order it from the dealer and do the work if you dont want to.

Look at the pics in this thread. The tabs that are broken are on that metal arm is the piece you need. You dont need the whole assembly. That is all I got when I replaced mine. If the dealer tells you more than that go to a mechanic or do it yourself.

Do you have the dealers reciept? It should show the part number that they used.

My mechanic ordered the one part or arm and fixed it. The tabs were broken and he knew exactly what I was talking about when I told him what the wipers were doing. I didn't have time to fix it myself or I would have. The dealer can order that one part. If not then go elsewhere or maybe someone here can steer you in the right direction.

I'm trying to solve this problem on my 03 sedan.

Looks like I may have found the part online - #7 in their picture. $11.44

Let me know if you think that's the one!

Its called the assembly link arm.

They sell it seperate. It only takes 30 min to DIY. You need to get in there and see which assembly link is bad. There are 2...one on top and one on bottom. Mine was the one on the bottom.

It's most likely either part 6 or 7. I bought both at the dealer, took the car apart, replaced the needed one (it will become evident once apart), and returned the one I didn't need. Took about 45 min after R&R'ing all the plastics and re-aligning the wipers. DON'T FORGET TO RE-ALIGN THE WIPERS.
Good luck.

It is so annoying and I need to have it looked at.
I have this problem as well, i dont use the wipers much on intermittent so it doesn't bother me too much. It stutters half way through going up sometimes and sometimes before it sits into position. And it's only on the intermittent mode. Anyone have an idea on what it might be?

They were thinking about the wiper transmission when they built this wiper arm assembly. I'm glad they put those plastic tabs in there.
