^ Damn, that sounds bad.. Never heard of such a thing about K&N, didn't know they can make such poor quality filters.

It might of been that the filter was to wet and liquid that they use in the filter got into the intake.

^ When you say the filter was "too wet," what do you mean by that? It got wet or it was sold wet???

The problem with the K&N filters is the filters are oiled and sometimes the oil droplets can get deposited on the MAF element wires which can flake out the MAF readings. I'd suggest getting a dry-type performance air filter like something from Amsoil, Fram, or others.

I see... I think I'll stick to OEM from Infiniti.

I came across Pulstar spark plugs while doing my search for some spark plugs... They run about $25 a piece for the G35's... but I don't really trust those things, has anyone ever heard of 'em?

get the K&N

dont worry about the oil. it wont effect your sensor. NOt saying it cant, but highly doubt it.

most K&N filters come over oiled. its not a big deal, with the stock airbox.

I used K&N in all my vehicle i have never had a WET sensor problem.

Do you guys just use the standard Prestone green antifreeze mixed 50/50 when doing the coolant drain/refill?

That's what was in the car before, so I'm gunna use one gallon 50/50 and one gallon of regular Prestone Antifreeze... the radiator takes in about 9 qts./ 2.25 gallons.

On the X's, you have a front differential along with a transfer case. So for #3
you should add your front differential and transfer case also. You can use the same 75W90 you use for the rear. The transfer case calls for a dexronIII ATF. Stock is Nissan Matic-D, I use Redline D4.

How many quarts does the transfer case and front differential require?

And can I use 75W-90 in both of those?

Transfer case is about 1.25 quarts, front diff is something like 0.6 quarts. DO NOT USE 75W90 in the transfer case. The transfer case calls for an ATF. If you want to stay with the stock fluid, then yes, the transfer case will use Matic-D. And yes, the tranny uses Matic-J. You can use the 75W90 in the front and rear differentials.

Thanks for letting me know about this... I didn't know the front differential only held 0.6 qts.

Did the coolant drain/ refill today... the damn car started to overheat afterwards. I had to drive it around, turn it off.. repeated this process like 3-5 times for it to calm down and go back to normal. I found it really strange.

A) The temp. gauge needle started to rise above the midpoint and would fluctuate...

B) I turned the climate control up to 90*F and it was blowing out brick cold air...

C) The radiator fans kept blowing full force...
