Hey guys - JUST NEED ANSWER TO QUESTION #1

Just did the brake and reverse light install with the '05 lights (on my '04). Was going to put things back together and noticed a few issues with the reinstall of the trunk lid upholstry.

1) Found these 2 plugs that had popped off when removing the brake lights/trunk lid upholstry. They look like wire holders. Anyone know where they go?


2) Where does this little tab sit when I reinstall the trunk lid upholstry?

The bottom pic...trunk lid pop tab goes on the outside of the cover...it has a piece of velcro on the back that sticks to the upholstery. Ah...hold on I'll get a pic. Its hard to explain.

The other pic...no idea.

If you are looking at the inner trunk lid, it comes out the bottom middle...you can see the small slit for it.

Incase you need to pop the trunk, reach into your rear seat cubby hole and pull the tab, pop goes the trunk

 

No one knows where the plugs go from the first pict???

 

Last try before this thread goes to rest. Anyone know the answer to question #1 in the first post?

 

Heyy man. I just swapped my tails out for some 05/06's and I know where they go. goingt o be hard to describe without a picture of the car without the tail lights on, however I will do my best. They aren't really important they just plug up one of the holes that the tail light pins/bolts don't use. I think it's the 2nd one on the bottom. the pointer tip just pops through and it stays there. You know what I mean? If not, let me know and I'll try to describe better

 

Could you take a pict? It would be SUPER helpful.

Well, in order to show you, I would have to take the tail off lol. But I'll see what I can do. I won't be able to take a picture until tomorrow evening. I'll lte you know

it's alright. I'll take a look at it tomorrow and see what kind of pictures I can get for you. The little pieces aren't important so don't worry if you are at all lol
