2004 Shift *****

Okay so I did my search, saw some threads, some people put the newer ***** on and some from other infiniti models.

I checked out that stickied post with the info about our cars.

I am just wondering if anybody has a list and some pictures of all possibilities of ***** that can replace the stock one. I think its big and ugly.

I have an auto by the way.

Thank you for reading the FAQ first!!!

You are right, there is no shift **** info in there. I have not seen too much on this subject. There was one guy who changed his out for an FX base which came out very nice.

I know a number of people have changed theirs out for aftermarket ones. Lets see some pics guys!!

I really liked that one because it was leather I believe. That is the kind I am looking into. When I went down to Florida, we rented a 300c that had a leather shift **** and I just liked the way it looked as opposed to plastic or metallic.

I'll do my best to describe it.

At the top of the shaft, you attach a small round metal **** with a set screw. This is what will be depressed and push the shaft down with the top button. It basically replaces the plunger used in the OEM ****.
There are three set screws at the bottom of the **** that you tighten to hold the **** to the shaft. This is covered by the chome piece you see in the bottom of the picture.

I have never had to adjust it since the first time I put it on.

Thats the best I can do without posting pics of everything. Yes I'll post pics if you ask nicely but probably not till after this weekend

Here's my Momo auto shifter (black to match the charcoal interior). Purchased from Ebay for around $100 shipped. A little pricey I know, but you pay for the brand name with top quality in the auto accessory world.

No I dont want the numbers on it, It looked like there was but I know there isnt.

Also, I was under the impression that I was getting my G today. I went to Infiniti of Manhattan in New York, but there were some cosmetic damages that I didnt see in the pictures that were pretty bad so I decided to wait until I can find another deal.

You should do it. It takes a little effort, but the result is well worth it!!

I don't think he has the one you're looking for. The 03-04 shift **** is the big bulky one with the button on the side. Starting in 04.5+ they were the smaller ones with the button on the front. I think you are looking for the 04.5+ one, and good luck. After looking for a used one for months, I finally just bought one from Riverside Infiniti.
