New 335i sedan, bye bye 03 sedan

Well first of all I decided to keep my 03 G sedan in the family since it's been so reliable for me with 0 problems since I bought her. To make a long story short, I test drove both the GxS sedan and 335i sport sedan. I like the BMW more for looks and the way it drives it's just solid. I like the G better for the technolgy and interior space. However BMW gave me a better deal than Infiniti and thus my decision to go with the 335. Infiniti's saleman would not budge on price saying "I give everyone the same deal". Hmmm, I'm in sales as well, and I didn't know that you were supposed to cut your own throat right off the bat. Anyway the 335 was a bit more but the dropped the price and the lease rate down to 2% compared to Infinitis 3.9%! With that the payments were almost the same, then I factored in maintenance (free on BMW) and fuel mileage and on top of that BMW threw in even more goodies (alarm, floor mats, better deal on end term insurance) and it made my decision easy. I also factored in that some guys here have had issues with Infiniti's service at Hyatt. I found it odd that Hyatt Infiniti would not want to keep me in one of their vehicles, especially when I told the guy it would all come down to cost. I told him throw in winters and we're done, and he said it was too much of a cost to him? I'll post pics of the new 08 Alpine White 335i sedan sport when I pick her up on Wednesday. I'm already starting to itch for the Dinan upgrade . The wife will be driving the G but I'll take it for a rip on the weekends from time to time. Pics of the G are in my sig below. I hope Infiniti learns to take their customers more seriously, laters.

Sounds like you made the right choice for you considering the situation with your local Infiniti Dealer.

Congrats on the car. 335 is a very good choice. Only thing is keep your eye out on the fuel pump. There is a pretty high rate of failure on the 335.

It'd be interesting if you update this thread with your experience over the next year. I've been told BMW owners get very friendly with their service department managers...

Good choice! I'm considering the G8 GXP when they come out as a replacement for the G35... Though the 335i is every bit as tempting, that's for sure.

I think you'll have a blast with that car.

I'll have pics up on Wednesday/Thursday. I will admit that I am a bit nervous about the fuel pump issues. I'll keep you guys updated, thanks for the positive feedback.

while it does not have the same caliber name as Dinan, checkout juice box performance at burgertuning.com. much less expensive option for raising boost. 40whp and 50 ft lbs to the wheels for $379 sounds pretty good to me. congrats on the new purchase.

!!!!!TRAITOR!!!!!

NAw just kidding. That sucks that you infinity dealer wouldn't give... He must of just got hosed on a deal or somethin' before you showed up? I LOVE the look of the new Beemer. I am glad you decided to keep the G. I absolutly love mine and I've only had it for 8 months so far and I'm already talking about buying another one as soon as I pay off the first!
