Great find! Very useful information.

Sounds like the Mobil 1 or Purolator PureOne are the only two oil filters to go with.

I only use Wix but would also consider the Amsoil filter.

Yeah, I'd stick with the Amsoil, it's the only one that uses nanofiber filtering media.

anyone cut a K&N oil filter open before? How do they compare? I know they tout high flow...but at what cost?

i remember seeing that thread before i purchased my car. ive been using napa gold filters made by wix since the oem came off.

I'm on Napa gold filters also. I found a place that sells them cheap too. I've posted the info before.

If you want to stock up on Wix filters, I found that http://www.filter1.com/ had slightly better prices. (Free shipping on orders that total $50 or more.)
