Paint chipping in So. Fl
With all the highway construction taking place on the roads down this way, my 3 week old G has about 20 chips on the front end, each about half the size of a pinhead. Dammit!
I was contemplating the clearbra and though I had a few more weeks to explore this topic, but I need to act ASAP, next weekend.
I've read all the previous posts and it seems the most crucial element of such a product is the install. With that in mind, are there any members who know of a good shop to handle the install, in South Florida?
Help guys, I can't stand to see the G take anymore punishment.

Re: Paint chipping in So. Fl
Oh well, seeing as noone has replied, it seems to confirm my suspicions that there aren't many So. Florida members on this board. Too bad... for me.
Anyway, I found a shop that quoted me $275 installed, hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, using 3M. The downside is that it's a multipiece kit, bumper is 4 pieces rather than a single sheet. But at this price, if I don't like the result, it won't set me too far back.

Chinee,
Check this manufacturer out, I think they have some installers in South Fla.

Thanks Merlin.. tried that route already, no luck. So typed in "paint protectection" in my yahoo! search engine and found Bekaert Specialty Films, distributor of clearshield (3M film). Did a dealer search through them and found 3 in my area. Getting it done this weekend.

Update:
Got the clearbra installed this weekend, not a bad job, but the kit was a little lacking in coverage. It was made by "clearshield" and the major concern of mine is an uncovered area about 2 inches wide that runs the width of the front bumper.
Visualize the sloping section of the bumper, a gap two inches below the base of the headlights, running the width of the bumper. Everything else is covered and protected though. I'm considering asking the installer to custom fit a strip to cover that section, but I'm afraid it'll look like an obvious patch job; it'll cost me an additional $45. Oh, the tag plate is uncovered as well. I want him to do the tag plate and gas tank cover too, seeing as I always have to push on that area.
I am mostly pleased though, but anyone considering the clearshield template needs to be aware of the gap. The good news is that it cost me just $275 + tax installed.
