Alright, so if I'm reading the manual correctly, you can set a specific seat position and designate it as 1 or 2 on the side, set it on "auto", and when you unlock the car the seat is supposed to automatically scoot back a few inches to help you get in a little easier, then when you close the door (or start the car?) it scoots back up to whatever position you have stored in the memory. Is this right? Because my seat never moves back when I unlock the door. My 04 sedan is still under warranty and I'm taking it in soon for another issue, so if I can knock this out at the same time that would be great. I just some clarification on what the "auto" feature on the seat is supposed to do. Thanks.

When you unlock and open the door, the seat slides back to make it easier for you to get into the car. Once you close the door, it moves into your programmed position depending if you have the seat setting on 1 or 2. Similarly, when you shut off the car, the seat moves all the way back to make it easier for you to get out of the car. Make sure the setting is not on cancel, because it turns the auto seat function off. It it's on 1 or 2 and the seat is not sliding back, I would have the dealer look at it. I have disabled mine because it drained my battery last winter, since I don't drive much during the week (take the train to work).Originally Posted by rvkempf

im pretty sure i programmed it right, the 1 position is just where i like it. ive check to make sure i have it set on auto, and i do, ive just never witnessed it slide back when i unlock or open the door, and it never slides forward once i close the door. you say you had yours disabled, how was that done? i might check to see if mine is disabled.

On mine, the seats only adjust when the car is either turned on or off, not when the doors are lock/unlocked.

the on/cancel is referring to the entry/exit assist. on my 04, when you have that funcion on, it will scoot back when you turn off your engine and pull your key out. when you put your key back in, it scoots inwards again. I know this function works differently on an intelligent key, but essentially does the same thing.
I also experienced that you will not get any entry/exit exist if your seat is scoot back very far already. so essentially, if your comfortable setting is set back really far (because you're a tall guy) then the seat will decide you don't need the entry/exit assist. if you really want to test out if that function works, set another seat position a lot closer to the steering wheel and you should experience the entry/exit function.

brilliant, i had a hunch that was the case, i have pretty long legs. i input a real close up position on 2 and see if this is the case. thanks!Originally Posted by G Sedan

oh and one more off topic question for you G Sedan. i see you have the aero kit and splash guards. i have the aero kit as well and would like to add the splash guards but wasnt sure they still fit with the aero kit. will the one for the rear bumper fit, or will only the ones along the side skirt fit?

the splashguards will not fit onto the aero kit at all (sides or rear) without modifications to it, and IMO a cut up splashguard would look ugly. I actually only have the aero front bumper and rear valence. My sideskirts are painted stock sides with painted splashguards Originally Posted by rvkempf

I just wanted to do something different with the sideskirts
