a drop makes a world of difference
a drop makes a world of difference. ride quality is definitely a little bit rougher than with stock springs & shocks, but it's easily liveable. i drive around my grandparents in the car and they do not mind. i also have hotchkis sways installed. the most annoying thing by far is the drone from by muffler:
Stock
Z springs all around + DIY custom painted OEM 17s
same setup but with custom painted, time-attacked coupe 19s
lastly, eibach z fronts (to drop me another inch in front), same z rears, same 19s

I raised my car by putting 225/60/17's all around--- by 5/8". The wheel takes up most of the room beneath the wheel well, I get good gas mileage (27-28mpg in hilly, highway terrain: 22-23 city), there is no rubbing with 4 adults riding, the ride is smoother than with the stock tires, it still corners nicely, and the car still looks classy, refined, sexy and fast.
IMHO, dropping the car (plus a good percentage of the mods listed by some G drivers) is an oversold, over-hyped, superfluous, impractical idea----- much like the latest "saggy pants" fashion, nose rings and head tattoos.
It appears that many of us have drank the Kool-Aid!
