Trunk Spoiler/Lip

Okay - don't bash me like a newb... I searched already...

Now that Rookies bumper is on, the car looks like it needs a trunk lip to flow... of the few I've seen for sedans the Unlimited Tuning and M3 look to be the best options... am I overlooking anything?

I want a small with moderate flared lip that has perfect fitment.

I'm leaning towards the M3... what year do I look for and where do I get it?

Please... thanks

it's good you brought it up, I am also in the market for a lip spoiler.
Someone on here will chime in soon.

Its hard to find a M3 that will fit 100% side to side, the UT spoiler is pretty good fit but its also more $$.

UT prices seem pretty good - the only problem is the G1 is a little too small, and the G2 is a little too big (for me)... I like the size of the M3, looks perfect form what I've seen... I figured the M3 would be more than UT

I like the pics I've seen of the M3 - but haven’t seen in person...

I'm hoping someone with M3 spoiler chimes in...

I'm removing a M3 lip spoiler this weekend (off of an M3 ofcourse). I'll compare it to my G2 to see the diff.

it depends what you want. You can pay more for the UT or and OEM M3 and then some more to get it painted, or you can find one off of ebay. I found mine for $60 painted and shipped off ebay. Fitment is about 1/8 inch short of being flush with the length of the trunk lid (on either side), but that works for me.

^Yes

IMO, the ebay ones don't look half as nice as the UT and M3 lips.

I probably got the cheapest wannabe m3 spoiler you could find on ebay. I wasn't sure about what type of spoiler I wanted to go with so I wanted to see what it would look like. $25 shipped is what I paid and it came rolled in a small 8.5" x 11" box. I got it painted and it looks good, the only thing is that it is rippled at the top from being bent. It isn't shaped exactly to the edge of the trunk and needed to be bent some at the ends to not overhang.

I'll be picking up an OEM M3 spoiler when I get my aero bumper painted.

I found that the OEM BMW part number is 51717893671.

Go here http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/acc.htm and type in part number 51717893671. $100 plus shipping

OR go here http://www.bavauto.com/ and type in the part number and select 2003 M3 as the vehicle. $109.95 plus shipping
