Removing Hood Support
Just installed NRG hood struts yesterday, and was planning on taking out the hood support. Aside from noting that some plastic paneling will have to be removed to get at the nut holding it on, I haven't really assessed what's involved to do the job.
Any suggestions with this seemingly easy job?

There is no nut to remove. The OEM hood support rod is held in place with the rubber grommet that is visible. A good steady pull will remove it. When and if you want to replace it, push the rubber grommet back into the existing hole. Shouldn't take more than 10 seconds!

I actually figured it out before this got posted, but good info none-the-less. Looks a little cleaner with the bar out of the way.

That's what I did when I installed my NRGs
