GT Spec Lower Front Bolts
Hey guys,
I'm working on trying to install the GT Spec Lower Front Strut bars and I can't get the bolts loose. Anyone know any tricks? I've got the deep socket on it, I've got the breaker bar working. I've tried spraying it with PB Blaster... I can't get either side loose. Help!!?

strut bar?... they have a front brace, but I wasn’t aware it mounted to the struts?... I was hoping for the 4 point mid brace... anyway good luck, let us know how it feels driving once you get it installed...

Lower Tie...
Sorry, not the strut bar (I do believe they make one) but the lower front tie bar. It's underneath the car just behind the new Stillen sway I just installed. All of those nuts were tough to loosen but came loose after awhile. I can't get these other two out for the life of me. I've already taken the car off the ramps and I guess I'll just wait until I get the other two braces and have them installed all at once.

Is that safe?
I've got access to a small propane torch from my working at a restaurant where we do flambeed creme brulee. But that makes me nervous to do that under the engine especially. What exactly would you do?

That was my original feeling about it as well. I think I may just wait to get another GT Spec bar or two and then get them all installed professionally by a shop. But definitely glad to have the sway bars in. Didn't really get time to try them out though. Looking forward to the drive tomorrow.

I have Stillen sway bars and would be interesting in hearing your before and after impressions of the GT Spec with sways...
Unless your leaking fuel all over your suspension parts i dont see what could catch fire?? Just pay attention to what your heating and it will come loose. Keep the flame small and hot, no biggie really. But if you dont feel confident then pay someone $67 an hr do it.
metal, like most everything else, expands when it gets hot. You get that bolt hot enough and it'll damn near fall out lol. He's not steering you wrongly, most likely that's what a shop will do if they can't get it off. Using a torch to get stuck bolts off is cake, get the bolt hot enough to turn red-ish, then crank it off. Easy as pie.
