Fellow G drivers,

Today I was getting some 93 for my G in anticipation of a N20 filled weekend.

I popped the gas door and went to stick in the gas handle thing.

I guess I was still sleepy because I hit the exterior paint above the door instead of the hole...(this sounds like a drunken pr0n movie)

My paint (visible exterior paint above the gas door assembly on the exterior) CHIPPED AWAY TO THE METAL.

WTF I hit the thing with the gas nozzle about as slow as normally possible.

I have been babying my G for a few months and now its blemished cause it got hit the the gas nozzle at about .01 mph!

..!..

So should I hit it with touch up paint? Take it to the dealership and go apesh!t?

Oh I got Zaino loving on top of it too...

So mad...poor G...driver induced ding... =/

IF....you go to the dealer, you may want to intelligently conceal the nitrous lines. They will definitely frown on that. They may even make note of it which may void your warranty...

 

I don't think the dealer is gonna take responsibility for the
chipped paint. It's not going to be under warrenty.

I bribe the service guy...I know better than to take my car in without some preparations...Its pretty hard to concel the Injen with the tap for wet nitrous from a service tech without removing the whole thing and going in stock...

I think they will give me the old "not under waranty" excuse if I go in about it...guess a little touch up paint will have to do...

It doesn't take much to chip paint with those pump nozzles, I learned a loing time ago to be careful with them, actually put a small dent and chip in the paint on my first new car, I slipped as I was going towards the filler opening, damn, been very careful since then!
