What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting?
City driving - 15mpg, shift 4-5k rpm. If I drive like a beeyotch, I can get 18-20 city, but where I live there is lots of hills so it really varies on where you are going.
Highway - 23mpg
Highway - 23mpg
My '03 5AT averaged 19mpg my last fill up. I live about 6 miles from work 4 of which are a short jump down the highway which about half the time is usually stop and go due to construction right now. I guess I still get on it a little too frequently to average any better. Still I have changed my driving habits b/c it seems like such a waste of money to give my wages to these damn oil companies. My girlfriend slowed down also and so just from driving more slowly our gas bill due in June is $100 less than my gas bill paid in May on my Valero credit card.
you guys should use this tool to find the least expensive gas in your zipcode.
Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area. It's updated every evening. Just click on the link. You will see a map of your area and then scroll down and you will get a listing of gas prices in your area with addresses and brands starting with the cheapest and going up.

Premium vs Regular
I'm very positive that premium gives better gas mileage than regular (93 octane gives atleast 2MPG better).
Last two tanks with premium I'm getting 25 combined (20 city / 80 freeway). I'm happy about the result. I would say I'm driving a lil bit carefully these days. People here say that there's no reason to buy a G if you want to drive it like a Civic. But, one need not be a race driver daily. Even though I drive 65 on freeway my car still looks the same and the remaining power is at my feet
Occasionally, I get da hell out of the V6.
BTW, I drive a manual

warning about seafoam: it will destroy your O2 sensor(s). i used it on my integra which had about 80-90k. both primary and secondary O2's started to throw CELs afterwards.
for mileage, i'm averaging 25mpg with 60/40 highway/city. i started with a full tank of gas in San Antonio, drove to dallas (top speed about 80 sometimes) and then all around dallas. when i refilled the tank it took 16.385 gallons and i had traveled 403.5 miles.
stock 04 sedan with KN dropin, Mobil1 0w-30, grounding kit, iridium plugs, DIY oil catch can, cleaned MAF sensor, stock wheels with new Kuhmo ASX 225/55-17, alignment 3000 miles ago.

I average ~24-25 on the highway with cruise set @ 72.
In city driving I average ~20.
No where near as bad as I thought it would be...and my foot's in it a lot during city driving.

One of the things that really help out in suburban driving is to use 5th gear at 40-45 mph. It's right at the beginning of the torque curve, so it won't labor the engine at all.
Just doing that will really boost your mileage. A friend of mine rolls around in 4th gear in his 350Z and gets worse mileage than I do. His car is nearly stock and he keeps up on maintenence pretty well.

When I drive normally, to & from work (85% hwy, 15% city), I get about 21-22 MPG average on Shell 93 octane. Last week I drove with a full tank, down to 1/4 tank, driving very conservatively, never accelerating hard and never punching it, and never going above 75 MPH, to see what kind of mileage I could get. I ended up with 23.9 MPG...so not bad! Best I've ever done, all highway driving mellow w/ cruise control @ 65 MPH was 26.5 MPG
.(FYI - I have 19" rims & 245mm wide tires and drive a 5AT).

Hi,my name is Darrin and I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 sedan, and I've put new plugs in(perfomance)and an K&N filter,I'm medium on gas and I'm only getting 14-16mpg!!!!,I expected alot better in city driving mileage!!!any suggestions!!!
I didn't think it would be quite this bad when I bought it, but here it is:
first tank of 93: 21.2
2nd tank of 93: 20.9
3rd tank of 93: 19.8 (this included a track day)
This morning I filled up with regular 87 just to see what will happen, if anything.
I'm not necessarily complaining about the mileage. It is what it is and I knew I'd be getting worse than my Accord, that's for sure. Especially since I chose an AWD model. But I wasn't exactly expecting mileage in line with my wife's Volvo XC90, either. Oh well. At least I love the car, which is more than I can say about my Honda. And you can't put a price on love, right?

I'm finally seeing more than 20mpg on average thanks to a move much further from work. I used to get 17mpg with all city driving but now I get 26mpg with all highway. That's with the ac on, doing 70+mph, and some traffic. I would feel better about it if gas wasn't so expensive. A tank of gas used to last me for weeks, now barely a week. The cool thing is that I was worried about laboring the clutch in traffic but it doesn't - 6mt FTW!
