I get 16-17mpg doing mostly (spirited) city driving. If I drive her like an old lady Ive gotten 19.

Ive been paying anywhere form 4.15 -4.25 for 91 octane (highest we have around here within reasonable driving distance)

25-27mpg with A/c on one way (62 mile daily commute, 12 miles of which are in town). That's a 3 year average, been checking with every tankfull.

27-29mpg no A/c (otherwise same as above)

Not sure what i get city, but hauling ***, 80+mph speeds, gasing it EVERYWHERE, and just cruising got me 23mpg mostly interstate+side roads.

Bet i could do better.

I'm not sure the onboard computer gives you your actual MPG, it just calculates the MPG based on how you're driving at that very moment. If you want to know your exact MPG average per tank you'll have to do it the old school way.Amount to top off divided by miles driven on that tank. You can continue to do this every tank and vary your driving style to see which gives you the most MPG. Foot in tank on highway or city will probably always give you the worst

I just did a 4-day driving vacation in the Pacific NorthWest covering 2000+ miles. I averaged 26.9 MPG. I drove 80+ MPH for much of my trip from Seattle through Montana and north up into the Canadian Rockies. The two times I averaged 30+ MPG was from coming down out of the Canadain Rockies going west (and downhill) for several hours.

Mileage --- Gallons --- MPG
249.5 ----- 7.81 ----- 31.9
154.9 ----- 6.83 ----- 22.7
268.5 ----- 9.7 ------ 27.7
161.8 ----- 5.28 ----- 30.6
376 ------- 14.7 ----- 25.6
238.7 ----- 8.615 ---- 27.7
204.8 ----- 8.44 ----- 24.3
237.2 ----- 9.7 ------ 24.45

1891.4 ---71.1 ------ 26.9

i just did a niagara falls run this past weekend, i managed to get 27.7 mpg and thats with hard driving up hills doing 75-80 wit a/c on and 4 ppl in the car. i bet if it was flat ground staying at around 65-70 no a/c one person we could get 30mpg which is great! too bad most of driving here is city which gives me 15-18 mpg.

So you needed this tool to figure out your MPG? Just throw a calculator in your car (I use mine on my cell phone or Blackberry) and do the 3rd grade math, it's pretty easy.

Okay, here's your cheat sheet: If your trip clock says you went 323 miles and if you pumped 14.356 gallons of gas into your car, then divide 323/14.356 to get 22.5 MPG.

Wow that is one scientific formula. I will have to write that down, X miles divided by x gallons = mpg.

You guys with the crazy good mpgs, I do 75-80 on the freeway and get 22-24 mpg barely, are you guys running stock size wheels/tires?

Yeah, took me a while to figure it out...many long night, lots of algorithms...you get the picture. I should charge a fee for that info!

i am now getting 16-17K!!! awful. and my work commute which is most of my driving is alll highway. Its been worse since installed z-tube, any ideas:

I am confused. i have an AWD sedan (already screwed with mileage). installed the Z tube and now i feel like my car idles at higher RPMs and navigation screen/computer has been showing approx 16 mpg opposed to the usual 19mpg. I dont see how theoretically a z tube can add MPG. it adds power, with that shouldnt you always be losing.

i do admit i like to step on it now because the car pulls noticeably harder and sounds great at about 3.5k, however, ever since i installed it, my computer has been showing consistently lower MPG records.

The Z tube doesn't do anything to either mileage nor power. The only thing you should notice from it is that i has a slight deeper tone at low/mid rpm range. The only power gain you feel is all in your mind....or maybe the .01 hp gain .

gas mileage all depend on your driving habit. I just fill up my tank, 18 gallon, for $83 @$4.62 gallon. My driving habit is like little old granny...ya know, shift around 2-2.5k rpm and try to keep at speed limit. I get 21 mpg for driving 85city/15 hwy.
