Extravagant Mod... Wudda guys think?

Okay... so i was thinking... (keep an open mind... lol) To install a laptop jack into the weird awkward "2nd glove compartment?" and being able to just slide in a laptop? and have it charged and hooked up to a touch screen that runs it...

Because that would be so balla compared to CD's lol

Right now i dont have that kinda money to do so? But it would be really cool IMO what do you guys think?

If you're doing this to avoid CD's, you may as well get an MP3 player hardwired to your stock radio...

I like the idea of a "docking station" built in. If it doesn't block the air bag, go for it!

...doing this for a living just made me yell EPIC FAIL! In the garage I'm in.

Buy a source unit with a USB input and a 500gb external hard drive. boom. Done. If all you want it for is music, that's all you need.

On the other hand, if you want it for the actual PC aspect of it, you'll need a specific monitor, such as a lilliput, that has USB control ports to use the touchscreen to control the laptop. From your hairbrain idea it sounds like itd be a much better idea to just buy a pre-built in dash double din CarPC setup......

Not trying to bash dude, but you're both way OVER thinking, and way UNDER thinking at the same time.

heat is going to be a big issue cuz I bet it can really get hot in there on a hot sunny day. You will need proper cooling.
