just wondering if anyone of your guys own a scan tool? OBD2 reader.

Looking to get one shortly, i'm pretty sure the G35 is a CAN system so i'm wondering which ones if any have you guys used?

Looking at autoterra mainly right now.

 

I have the autoengunity. Looking back, I would have opted for the UpRev Cipher.

 

Scan tools buyers be advised that the inexpensive tools may look only for the engine codes (P-codes). Only the more expensive tools retrieve body codes -- airbag control, radio, ABS, etc -- usually B-codes. I cannot say for sure about the Infinitis because P-codes are the only ones I have ever seen listed.

 

P codes are generic codes which can be pulled by almost any scan tool and a OBD 2 car.

all the others are 99% CONSULT 2 or specfic nissan stuff. not too sure what exactly UpRev Cipher can do...
