I never did any type of radio/stero install myself ever and I tackled this on my 03 sedan and it was straight forward and very very simple. it is an AWESOME unit. Couldn't be happier. only hard part is understanding how to take the whole HU out and everything. Involved process but it's easy once you do it a couple times

Can you describe at all? Do you remove the ring around the gear shifter, clock area, etc? do those pieces just pop off?

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-diy/90507-diy-06-hu-removall.html This is for an 06 though and 6MT. But it's pretty much the same concept. When they say put into 4th gear to remove the center console pannel... for 5AT put it in Neutral. It's pretty much the same.. only a couple different screws here and there. But it will give you a good idea. But fpr the 03's and 04's you need to take the side pannels on the side of the HU off too. To do that you need to take the glovebox off and underneath the drivers side... pretty much taking all the pannels off on the front of the dashboard to access all the screws needed to get to it

it works. you just got to press DISC twice I beliece until it says CD CHG 1. make sure there is a cd in slot 6. I got an 03. It works trust me haha. You don't need a SAT or AUX button. Just press DISC twice and you're good to go

What if I have an 03 sedan with a head unit that has a SAT button. I have already tried the PAI-NIS2 but that didn't work. My SAT button is broken or something. So now I am looking at the USA spec IPOD adapter. Will it work for me?

yes. I do not have the SAT button. Just press the DISC button twice until it says CD change (or something like that) and the ipod will play
