I also noticed that there seems to be a clicking noise now coming out of my engine (seems like something might be hitting my timing belt).

Has anybody had this problem before? Kind of worried that it might be the midpipe.

Just say if the car is not getting enough back pressure? What does this do to my G35 sedan and its consequences? If it is due to my midpipe and wrecking my car, I have no choice but to remove my midpipe.

UR2EZ - That can only be true if your intake and exhaust valve timing is such that they are open at the same time. Some engines do have an overlap, some don't. Most any high performance camshaft will make this happen to a larger degree than stock.

BTW, this is the knocking noise I am getting after installing the midpipe. My car is a 03 g35 sedan.

I'm not thinnking that could be due to a midpipe install unless the flanges are not coupled and are banging together which is highly unlikely. You have a serious knock there that could be a cam, connecting rod or even a main bearing. You need to stop running that engine asap and take it somewhere. Any chance you dropped a nut bolt in the intake or throttle body that is now slamming up against an intake valve? Whatever it is in conjunction with low oil pressure usually spells gloom & doom.

It appears to me that you have an 05+ 6MT. If so, that is the "knock of death" and that motor is well on it's way out. Have you been watching for oil consumption? Have you misshifted?

That video wasn't my car but I was using it as reference on what my car sounded like. But the noise is finally gone!!!! I'm happy for now.
I decided to get an oil change (even though I did not need one) and an engine flush and that seemed to cure the problem.

Thanks for all the help guys!
