OEM Brake Pad & Rotor

My original rotors are warped and was looking into replacing them after having them turned and warping again. The car is a 05 and the rotors had about 45000 miles before they warped. I was going to buy the OEM again. Do you guys think it is better to get aftermarket or OEM? I could get the OEM for about $50 a piece. What are your opinions. Thanks.

45K is really good for a high performance car/brakes. Us 03/04 G owners are lucky to get 30K out of the rotors. The reason the rotors warped was most likely because they were worn too thin. IMO, stick with OEM for both rotors and pads if you want the best feel and performance. Yes, they'll dust quite a bit and they'll wear out quicker, but that's the price you pay for performance. Brakes and rotors that don't wear aren't performing, period. Just like tires, the brakes have to wear in order to offer the best performance.

Did you check the "run out" with a "run out gauge"?

Youm might want to look at this: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml
