Re: '05 G35 updates

Nothing has been released, so it just a rumor.

However, in the case of the sedan, they could probably just "upgrade" it to 280 because that's about what it's really putting out in 6MT and about 270 in 5AT. That might just be a marketing/paperwork change though and not an "actual" power increase .

Buttom line - they (Nissan) can easily make it happen.
They can do more agressive ECU on sedan, less restrictive exhaust and here you go you'll get increase in power. One can argue it can be done with existing models but they can say, well you've got better interior now, etc. Not sure what they will do on coupe (redline increase for top-end power ???)

Re: '05 G35 updates

Sport Package wheels on sedan should be wider. I'd settle for 7.5'

Definetly, then we could get some real rubber on there, even though on a second thought, smaller rubber means less traction = more powersliding!

Re: '05 G35 updates

This past weekend I was at the Infiniti dealership to get my 7500 miles service. While waiting I walk around and happen to catch one of the service manager taking a smoking break. I walked up to him and started asking him questions about all the Infiniti models, expecially the G35. I ask him when will a complete remodel of the G be in? He said that the G35 are selling so well right now that Infiniti are not going to make dramatic change to it in quite a few more years. He also said that the G35 coupe might get a convertible.

Hell if they do add more hp in some way, and add better tires for better handling. I say sign me up.
