'05 G35 updates

Taken from Motortrend:

"Rumor has both the coupe and sedan each seeing a 20-horsepower increase, along with revised interiors, added features, and new wheels."

Anyone have any more information?

Re: '05 G35 updates

I wouldn't need the additional horsepower. After 7 months and 6500 miles, I'm more than happy with the horsepower in my AT.

I'm also happy with the wheels.

I guess it would depend on what the interior upgrades are. But except for a couple nits, I'm happy with mine. Of course, this car is at least 1 or 2 steps above what I've previously had.

I don't know what the features are.

They don't even have to make a change to the sedan, it's probably already underrated and closer to 275 as it is.

Hopefully they offer the changes as parts.

Brian, did you trade you Max in for the G, or did you sell it to a private customer?

Re: '05 G35 updates

I sold it to a friend who ultimately couldn't afford it and he sold it to another mutual friend minus the supercharger.

One more thing about the 05 G35. Can they even give it more power? According to what I've read this thing almost pings on 91 octane gas, leaving little room for improvement.

I'd also have to think the 350Z would get a HP up if the G35c were to get one. I can't imagine Nissan giving the G35c more power, as it would seriously eat into 350z sales.

Re: '05 G35 updates

It occured to me that Nissan is using a new VQ4.0 on thje 2005 Pathfinder, Xterra, and Frontier making around 250hp and 290tq. Maybe they might be using that engine in the FM platform cars but uing the power from 250 that on the suv's to 300+ and tq from 290 to 300+ ?

Re: '05 G35 updates

then if using such engine wouldn't that technically rename the G35 to the G40?

Re: '05 G35 updates

I actually like the stock 6-spoker wheels a lot. The 5-spokes are too wide at the edge, so they look smaller.
