Great, Steve

Can't wait for my TT's. We gotta meet somwhere midway (forget it - let's meet in Montana - no speed limit) and go to the track. LOL

Ooooh, Montana! I'm an avid flyfisherman (or at least was until the car hobby took over) so Montana would be very nice indeed. I can't wait for you to get your TT setup.

I'll post once I break into the 12s. All's that's keeping from it is lack of driver skill.

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

Zimbo...that is incredible...you are right there with my Mustang after only spending what...$4 effing K...that is sick...lol...Is that all you have done, and does the $4k include installation? How many psi is the Vortech...which vortech is it? Get some true Slicks for the rear tires...and you will be running 12.6-12.8 at 104-107 mph I gaurantee. What was your 60' time? Every time you chirp your tires you are adding time to your run btw, that's why you need the real slicks. They run about $150/tire plus the rims. And don't be so hard on yoursefl...3rd gear is the enemy to all of us at the track, no matter what car and no matter if it's a 5 or 6 spd. Again Congrats...those times and mph are just plain sick...Sick I tell ya!!! LMAO!

Sweet video Steve!

I wonder if the announcer calls a Z28 Camaro a "Z two eight Camaro."
This was too funny...I lol when I heard that guy say G Three Five too

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

I've done a lot more to my car than simply the supercharger--but that's obviously the most important "go fast" element on the car.

My top trap speed that evening was 110mph. My 60' time on the run in the video was 1.98. Most other runs were 2.2sec. Here's a link to the tires I have. My feeling is that I need to learn to warm them up rather than trying to find different tires...

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

Those 2.2 60' times are what's holding you back. DOT drag radials only need to be cleaned off...not really heated up...they get a glaze on them...they are very tricky to launch a high hp car in, whereas, w/true slicks...you just drop the clutch and go...once you find your optimum RPM that doesn't bog the engine on launch. Obviously you can do whatever you are most comfortable with, but this is my esperiennce over the last 10 years of doing this with different cars.

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

If you can point me in the direction of drag slick rims/tires that would fit the sedan, I'll definitely look into it. In for a penny, in for a pound at this point...

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

I would start here and contact them...give em your dimensions, IE, 245 tires will fit so 10.5" slicks should fit...you would want't 16" rims...and you should be lol into the 12's. Skinnys up front too.

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

zimbo,

I would also suggest to call Tirerack for Hoosier slicks and they would suggest the right size for you. As far as rims you should be on 16 or 17" top. The larger rim size the slower your car just remember this.

Good luck with your power!

Re: Supercharged sedan 1/4mile video

Very well said...Tire Rack can definitely help you as well. I would still stay with 16" rims unless you cannot get any traction off the line whatsoever...b/c in that case, the larger 17" rims will help hold the car down a little during initial launch.
