rats ate my cruise contol...

hey i'm pretty new to the g35 world but i'm loving what i've experienced so far!
i recently went on vacation for a couple of weeks and left my car sitting, after i got home i found that rats had eaten through part of the wiring harness for my cruise control. it's the harness that's next to the battery; i'm just wondering if anyone knows the best way to get to this harness to fix it. if there's an easy way to remove it that would be fantastic!

I loooooooooooooooooold when I read your title.

"Rats ate my cruise control"

I have no Idea what you need to do to fix it.

Perhaps post some pix so we can see better what's going on.

Maybe replacing the eaten part with some wire

How many wires they chewed through?

funny this is rats usually like to eat the wiring harnesses in German Cars.......they say it has something to do with the sleeving that the germans use. This is the first I've heard of it in a Japanese car.

interesting, this is a very popular title in the jeep forum. i would go to your local infiniti service desk and inforape them. act like you're going to get it fixed through them and you need to price it out first, so could they please tell you what needs to be fixed at the least... then start looking under your hood to see how bad the damage is at the most... guaranteed it's worse than JUST the cruise... rats aren't that intelligent to keep their damage localized... wiring is a beeoooootch!

if you look at the third plug, there are some loose wires. that's what the rats got to. i think i might need to take the passenger fender off to get enough slack to work on it...

Damn, that's in a low key area no less. How the hell did u manage to spot that thing? Did you just happen to try the cruise control and failed?

Yeah i tried the cruise and when it wouldn't come on i took it in to have it fixed since i bought an extended warranty; then the dealership called to tell me that it wouldn't be covered. apparently they spent three hours checking systems and realized it wasn't any of them. i did inforape them as much as possible but i couldn't get too much out of them.
i'll be able to fix it if i can get to it but i'm kinda unsure just how to do that. it's pretty cramped.

give it a bath while you're there.

Good luck with the fix.
