Same here. My 04 X has never had that problem. Maybe the X's are insulated better or maybe we just don't take long enough trips for this to happen? I know I only drive short trips anyways.

me too! i have a 2006 sedan (AT). but it's weird because it's like a wall of warmth about 3 inches away from my dash near the left and right vents and and in front of the stereo. there's no air coming out of my vents, though

i thought i was losing my mind...

I use to have the same problem with my 2003 Maxima, so I'm use to it

cabin heat...

I've got an 04 G35x... it too gets toasty under the dash.. I've got the temp set at 60 with the dash vents open.. otherwise if I set the ventilation system to the lower vents.. it feels like the HEAT is on... kinda sucks.. ya know..? I try to keep the sun roof cracked in vent mode just to purge any heat from the cabin... no so bad.

I'll have to try using the recirculation mode to see if that helps out...

recirculation...

yeah... this is a myth.. when you kick on recirc. mode.. the AC comes on... changing the fan speed simply slows down the fan, it doesn't turn off the ac.. if you turn off the ac.. it changes the circulation to "fresh air" mode... back to where we started.

Don't really want to have the AC on all the time and setting the temp to a "nominal" temperature so it's toggling between ac and heater modes... the dual zone feature is great.. if you want to play "luxo-cruser" with your parents...

oh well... "get yer motor running.. crusin' down the highway..."

I noticed this too, I thought it was just the Aura of the VQ eminating thru the dash.

I have a 05 x and i get hot air from the lower vents. Its something that bothered me for alittle bit, went to the dealership to get it checked out. Everything came out ok... I guess some cars have this issue and others dont. was thinking about stuffing the lower vents, but not really worth the hassel.
AC or cracka window.
