sup guys, i have a 05 G35x with 68k (yeah i drive alot) my back windows make creaky noises. i know its the bolts from searching but is it hard for me to fix myself (no experience)? my local infiniti dealer wants to charge $200+ to fix b/c im out of warranty. and my second issue is when i go from park to reverse or park to drive and start moving i hear a click from the rear wheels.. just a quick click.. anyone know wut it is?? thanks in advance.

 

I don't think I have heard of a solid solution for the creaky noise from the rear. I have tried tightening some bolts behind the seats but that did nothing. I've also read of some dealers actually cutting and modifying that rear brace. Search "rear window cracking" and you should see several posts on this subject.

I fixed the creaking windows myself. I pul;led down the weather stripping at the top and put in a piece of additional weather stripping I bought at Lowes. Then I replaced the factory weather stripping. This makes the windows seal tighter and stops the creaking. Much less than $200! Hope it works for you. BTW, my 05X has just passed 73K miles! I drive alot too.

 

The windows are a common problem, we replace window regulators to fix them normally, as for the axle, its not hard, pull the rear axle shafts out and put some moly grease on the ends where the make contact with the wheel bearing, fixed!

 

its a 20 min job if u have to grind those 2 bolts yourself
