Man ! That heater feels fine when the leather gets cold!
Wow, you buy a new car and then read every post on the board!!! Way to resurrect an old thread!

My only problem with the seat is the back. I feel like it squeezes me just below the shoulder blades or something. Like it is restricting my ability to breath a little.

And then it curves away from my back too early (about 2/3rd's of the way up my back) so I feel no upper back support. I'm used to Saab seats that hug you all the way up to the top of your head with those big headrests.

I think maybe it is just forcing me to curve my back too much and hunch over. I'll have to work on sitting up straighter in it (when I get the car that is).

No problem with the controls. 5'10" 205 lbs - all muscle of course!!

I test drove G35 yesterday and searched for info about the seat problem I noticed.
I felt the side bolsters digging into my hips the whole 20 minute drive. The car had 7,000 miles on it, so maybe the padding was worn already, but this problem may discourage me from buying an otherwise great car.

No problem here, went on a couple 3 hour drives with no problems. I'm not skinny either.

I do not find the seat uncomfortable, however my gripe is that the bottom cushion is too short front-to-back. I'm 5'8" and 165 and like to feel the edge of the cushion behind my knee, but just can't make it happen in this car. Tilting the front up does not do it. The seats in my Saab and even my son's (crappy) Eclipse feel right. All things considered, though, not a deal breaker.

6'5" and Love these seats ... no problems whatsoever. I definitely noticed all the seat complaints on the 03/04s, and I was concerned ... maybe they made some padding changes to the 05s?

Im 5'11'' about 170. Ive driven on several rode trips in my G and loved it. I love the way the seats are shaped. The controls are in a great place so you dont have to search with ure hand on the side of the seat. Never had a problem with the seats ever.

Has anyone had their G driver's seat cause/worsen lower back problems? My back has been acting up since about a week after I got the car. The seat doesn't feel "uncomfortable," but if I drive for longer than 25 minutes my tailbone is killing me. I never felt this on the test drive, and this could simply coincidental, but I can't think of anything else that's different in my life that would be causing this.

I have had my car for 3 weeks now. I am 6'0", 260 lbs. I do find the seat controls dig onto my leg. It si not bad, but it's noticable.

I also agree that the seat cushion is too short.

finally, I find myslef constantly adjusting the seating position; I just can't find the perfect seating postion for me.

I'm 5'10", 185 lbs. Took a couple of months to finally get what a comfortable seat position. Granted, it's not as comfortable as some other cars, but it's acceptable. Bottom cushion that supports the thighs is a bit short, and there doesn't seem to be enough side bolstering for me (I do slide just a bit when turning aggressively). The seat controls on the side don't bother me. Overall, it's good enough.

Seats are good. I would like better control of the lumbar adjustment, and I don`t care for the control location, ergonomically, but the seats are good for long distance driving. Heaters are a little slow getting up to temp, but that`s from an old phart with a bad back!
