I'd stay away from the headlights on ebay unless they are 'OEM' and not OEM 'replacements' (which I think all of them are). If your lenses are fine, mod your existing headlights. If you need new lenses and want to take a chance (re-use the bezels and lenses from ebay ones onto your OEM headlights) just be cautioned that they do not mate up 100% and the quality is NOT that of OEM. There are small imperfections with the ebay ones.

I am experiencing some peel now with one of my lenses (ebay lense) and not sure if its something I did or just the quality of the lense.

Here's a thread I posted up when we did my headlights
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...k-cleared.html

I am going to buy some OEM halogen headlights and use those bezels and lenses. The price we pay for perfection

man there's like 200 threads about ebay headlights...

I have the "crappy" ebay headlights and love them to death. I was tired of messing with my factory lights. I painted my OEM headlight housing black, but was tired of them hazing every 2 months. I had some extra money in paypal so i purchasd the headlights. I've had them about 4 months now and they are still in perfect condition. They fit perfectly fine.

Quote: basically....your xenon headlights will melt the reflectors, so you can only use it if you have halogen bulbs, not HID bulbs.

I wouldnt use it on the 2nd one either, even though it doesn't say anything.

ugh.. isn't Xenon burn with less temperature then halogen?

I have never heard of that one before...

I always thought it was because the reflectors of HIDs/xenons and halogens were different... if you use HIDs with a halogen reflector, the light would glare all over and not be focused like it should be... and while projectors are better controlled, there is still a difference between xenon projectors and halogen projectors.

How silly of me to think this...

yeah, should have nothing to do with temperature. hid's run pretty hot, even though it runs off less wattage than halogens

They actually run alot cooler than halogens. You are lighting a gas versus a filament.
