Doors automatically locking!

Hi,
I have run into a problem twice: doors automatically locking while the keys are inside the car. The first time it happened, I had unlocked the car using the key fob, opened the driver's door, put the keys inside, closed the door and a few seconds later, I couldn't get in. Fortunately this episode happened in my garage where I had access to spare keys.

The second time is more bizzare! Keys in the ignition, engine running in a parking lot, I exit the car, close the door and a few seconds later, I couldn't get in.Doors auto locked. This time I was far from home with no spare keys.

Did anybody notice similar behavior?
Can the auto-lock feature be disabled at all?

Thanks.

au4g35driver... haha, i have that paranoia, but it hasn't happened to me. i also carry around that wallet spare everywhere because i'm paranoid. the only times that the doors have auto-locked on me is if i unlocked them with the keyfob and don't open any door for like a minute. maybe it's time to take it into the dealer? or an exorcist.

Re: Doors automatically locking!

its normal for it to autolock if u open with keyfob and not enter for a min....its programmed that way in case u forget to lock it back or unlocked it accidently...but...i dunno about the key in ignition thing...thats rather..weird...r u sure none of your kid/wife playing a joke on u? =)

takuyaah... lol, obviously you took unneeded offense to my post. can't handle a female knowing something that you do? but to answer your shattered ego, no i'm not a guy and i'm in my 20s. just ask anyone who has been to an indianapolis meet. now go wipe yourself up. it seems your diaper has leaked once again. and yes, i do get PMs every now and then, but some are looking for GGirl, a moderator on this site.

Re: Doors automatically locking!

I haven't had that happen to me but once in a while I find the trunk open. Probably triggered the release with the key fob in my pocket with other stuff or....maybe my trunk monkey is going out for a smoke.
