Maybe its just me, but matte black looks primed and ready to paint. Not feeling it.

^ I think its because on that last shot of the G its blacked out, but kept the chrome, wheels, etc - makes it look like its ready to paint - the real murdered look is FULL black...........

I’ve always felt (and still do) that flat black belongs on rat rods or possibly old muscle cars… it looks completely odd and totally cheap on a new luxury or semi-luxury vehicle. Really bad (not in a good way) in my opinion.

this thread is retarded !!! i would never buy a nice car if i was going to do a full body vinyl wrap on it .. wait a few years get the use out of the car and paint it down the road a nice color or unique color of your choice ...

plus this thread was over 2 years ago .. you must have done some serching around to dig this one up

I saw one at the Long Beach sedan meet last year. The guy was parked next to me. the vinyl looked weird in person. It was just done & the edge were peeling. I think a paint job would be better.

I've seen a Z with a matte black wrap... it looked ok-ish... nothing like a real matte black or flat black paintjob done right though.

Heist pulled off the matte black look nicely. And did it right... paint.
