Fogging on clock and compass/ac panel?

I've had some pretty heavy fogging/residue on the inside of the plastic on both the analog clock and the display panel above it (the one with the compass on non-dimming mirror models, a/c readout, etc). I've tried spraying with compressed air, etc, and it does nothing, and assume I have to pull the plastic out and clean it.

Is this easy to do? Is there a diy or instructions anywhere for taking off the whole top panel? Also, I assume air or moisture is leaking in, is there a good way to reseal it after cleaning?

Thanks in advance for any help

Use the FSM to take it appart, it's easy enough. I actually did it all yesterday. (light color change) I'm doing it again Sunday if you want me to do a DIY for ya I will.

that plastic scratches very easily - be careful... I use Pledge Grab-it dust clothes and wipe it down occasionally, I never use any type of cleaner or cloth other than the dust cloth... no problems (nearly 4 yrs).
